Owner, Certified Arborist, TRAQ

Jacob founded Samsara Tree Care with the goal of building a company centered around professional arboriculture, thoughtful evaluation, and long-term tree care. After years working as a climbing arborist in the Pacific Northwest, he saw the importance of approaching trees as long-term assets rather than problems to simply remove.

Jacob oversees operations, training, and arborist recommendations across the company. He is a Certified Arborist and TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) holder, allowing him to evaluate tree safety, structure, and health with a professional risk-assessment approach. His focus is helping clients understand their trees and making informed decisions that protect both their landscape and the surrounding community.

Office Manager

Devin manages the day-to-day operations of the office and is often the first point of contact for clients reaching out to Samsara Tree Care. He coordinates scheduling, proposals, communication, and project logistics to make sure clients receive clear information and timely responses.

Because of his role coordinating the flow between the field crews and clients, Devin helps ensure every project runs smoothly from the first phone call to the completion of the work. Many clients interact with Devin throughout the process, and his attention to detail helps keep projects organized and moving forward efficiently.

Branch Manager / Estimator, Certified Arborist

Ben manages field operations and frequently works with clients during the estimating process. As Branch Manager, he oversees crew coordination, project scheduling, and the implementation of arborist recommendations in the field.

Clients will often see Ben visiting properties to evaluate trees and provide clear recommendations for pruning, removals, or ongoing care. Outside of work, Ben enjoys creating collage artwork, writing, and practicing yoga — interests that reflect his thoughtful and creative approach to both life and arboriculture.

Estimator / Maintenance Coordinator / Washington Branch Manager, Certified Arborist, TRAQ

Ben plays several key roles within the company. He works closely with clients to evaluate trees and provide project estimates, coordinates maintenance programs, and manages the Washington branch of Samsara Tree Care.

His work helps ensure that long-term maintenance plans and plant health care programs are implemented effectively for clients throughout the region. Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Jackie and their dog Finn exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Crew Leader, Certified Arborist, TRAQ

Christian brings a strong background in arboriculture and field leadership to Samsara Tree Care. As a crew leader, he helps guide teams in performing safe, efficient, and professional tree work on client properties.

Recently married, Christian balances his professional experience with a thoughtful approach to teamwork and project execution. His experience and attention to detail help ensure that work is completed safely while maintaining the high standards expected by clients.

Plant Health Care Specialist

Jackie manages the Plant Health Care (PHC) program at Samsara Tree Care. She oversees treatments designed to improve soil health, prevent disease, and support the long-term vitality of trees across the landscapes we care for.

Her work includes coordinating fertilization programs, monitoring tree health, and implementing treatment plans that help protect trees from environmental stress and pest issues. Jackie has a strong interest in gardening and plant health, which aligns naturally with her role supporting the health of trees and landscapes throughout the region.

Crew Leader, Certified Arborist

Phaedrus is a skilled and knowledgable arborist. His passion for the indrusty is infectious to our staff and clients. His talents in the canopy can be seen on every site especially his rope access and large tree removal and crane work.

When he is not at work you can often find him climbing trees recreationally or out on the river. As of late he has developed a fondness for sailing and small river boats.
